Marketing Infrastructure for Multi-Location Restaurant Brands

How we help franchise and multi-location restaurant operators connect every ad dollar to verified transactions at the register, store by store.

The Problem

Your site selection is data driven. Your marketing usually isn't.

When a franchise brand picks a new location, the process is deeply analytical. Household income, population density, competitor proximity, traffic patterns, daytime population. Months of research go into choosing the right corner.

But once the doors open and marketing begins, that rigor disappears. Most restaurant brands default to regional campaigns that treat every location identically. A store near a college campus gets the same ads as one next to a retirement community. A grand opening in a new market gets the same playbook as a mature location that's been open for three years.

The result is predictable: budget gets spread thin, performance varies wildly by location, and nobody at corporate can tell which stores are growing because of marketing and which are growing in spite of it.

The three gaps we see in almost every restaurant brand we talk to

1. One size fits all targeting. Every location runs the same audiences. Store A near a university and Store B near a family neighborhood get identical creative and targeting.

2. No store level visibility. You see a blended dashboard for the whole brand, but can't tell which location is driving results and which is burning budget.

3. Impressions instead of transactions. Your agency reports clicks and CPMs. Your operators want to know how many new customers walked in and what they ordered.

How It Works

The LRAP, applied to restaurants

The Local Revenue Acceleration Program is our core system. For restaurant brands, it works in three layers that build on each other. Here's exactly what each layer looks like in practice.

Layer 1: Behavioral Geo-Intelligence

We don't target demographics. We target behavior. Specifically, we build custom geofences around the physical locations your ideal customers visit, then capture their devices when they enter those zones. Every store gets its own set of geofences based on its unique trade area.

For a healthy fast casual brand, that might mean geofencing every OrangeTheory, CrossFit, and Planet Fitness within 3 miles of each store. For a family QSR brand, it's schools, daycares, pediatrician offices, and family entertainment centers. For a lunch focused concept, it's office parks and coworking spaces within a 2 mile radius, activated only between 10am and 1pm.

🏪
Competitor Locations

Capture their foot traffic. Turn it into your pipeline.

🏋️
Gyms and Fitness

Health conscious consumers post-workout. High intent for healthy concepts.

🎓
College Campuses

High frequency, value driven diners who become repeat customers fast.

🏢
Office Parks

Lunch crowd within 2 miles. Time targeted for the 11am to 1pm decision window.

🛍️
Shopping Centers

People already out spending money and looking for somewhere to eat.

🏟️
Events and Stadiums

Capture thousands of devices in one evening. Retarget for 30 days.

Layer 2: Store Level Campaign Deployment

This is where most agencies fall short. They build one campaign for the whole brand, maybe split by region. We build individual campaigns for every single location. Each store gets its own audience segments, its own creative, its own budget allocation, and its own performance tracking.

That means Store A near a university runs student focused creative with value messaging. Store B in a suburban family area runs kid friendly creative with weekend family specials. Store C downtown targets the office lunch crowd with speed and convenience messaging. All managed by us, all reporting individually back to corporate.

What each location gets

Custom audience segments built from its specific geofences. Location tailored ad creative. Individual budget allocation that can be adjusted based on performance. Dedicated reporting that shows exactly what's working at that store, not a blended average across the brand.

Layer 3: POS Verified Attribution

This is the layer that separates us from every other geofencing agency in the market. Most agencies stop at impressions, clicks, or modeled foot traffic estimates. We go to the register.

Through our data integration partnerships, we connect campaign exposure directly to POS transaction data. That means we can show you: this person was served an ad, they visited the store, they purchased these items, and the location generated this much incremental revenue. Per store. Per campaign. Per menu item.

This is the same level of attribution that enterprise brands pay six figures for through enterprise platforms. We've packaged it for the mid-market restaurant operator who needs it most.

Channels

Where your ads actually show up

We run full funnel campaigns across every major channel. Every campaign is frequency controlled (nobody sees your ad 50 times) and creatively consistent across platforms. Here's what that looks like for a restaurant brand.

Mobile and Display Awareness

Ads across tens of thousands of apps and websites, triggered by geofence entry. Your brand follows consumers across their devices for up to 30 days after they visit a target location.

Someone visits your competitor at lunch. They see your ad on ESPN that evening and in their weather app the next morning.

OTT and Connected TV Consideration

Commercials delivered to home TVs and laptops via Hulu, Disney+, Peacock, Paramount+, ESPN, and more. Targeted to your trade area, not a zip code blast.

A 15 second spot for your new seasonal menu plays before a family's Friday night movie on Disney+.

Meta and Instagram Conversion

Sequenced retargeting with short form video and carousel ads. People who entered your geofences see your brand in their social feeds with conversion focused creative.

A gym-goer captured at OrangeTheory sees a carousel of your acai bowls on Instagram the next day.

In-House Creative All Stages

All assets designed internally for brand consistency. No third party creative delays. Menu photography, video content, and seasonal campaigns, all controlled from concept to deployment.

Case Study

From 90-day pilot to national growth partner

The brand: A fast growing healthy fast casual franchise expanding across multiple states.

The challenge: They needed a more strategic approach to launching new stores in unfamiliar markets, acquiring customers at the local level, and connecting every marketing dollar to actual register outcomes. Their existing marketing was regional, generic, and impossible to measure at the store level.

The approach: Rather than roll out nationally, they started with a 90-day pilot across select locations. We built custom geofences for each store, deployed individual campaigns per location, and integrated POS data to track every transaction back to ad exposure.

$126K

per location from new customers

The expansion: After proving the pilot, the brand expanded VCS across multiple markets, including brand new grand openings and integration into existing locations across several states. One new location launched with VCS from day one and became one of the brand's highest performing stores for monthly recurring revenue. VCS was then tasked with rollout over the entire brand as the company scales nationally.

The math that matters

At a conservative $300 annual value per new customer (already cut in half from the actual math), just 35 new customers a month adds up to over $126,000 in annual revenue per location. Now multiply that across your entire footprint.

Launch Timeline

Live in your markets within two weeks

No six month ramp up. No drawn out onboarding. Here's exactly what happens when you engage VCS for your restaurant brand.

1
Week 1

Discovery and Strategy

We map every trade area, analyze local competitors, identify high intent geofence targets, and build a store by store marketing plan tailored to each location's neighborhood.

2
Week 1 to 2

Audience Build

Geofences go live around competitors, gyms, campuses, office parks, and other high intent zones specific to each location. Devices start being captured immediately.

3
Week 2

Campaigns Launch

Individual campaigns go live per store across display, OTT, Meta, and programmatic. All coordinated, all frequency controlled, all with location specific creative.

4
Weeks 3 to 12

Optimize and Scale

We adjust targeting, creative, and spend allocation based on what the data tells us. Underperforming locations get diagnosed and fixed. High performers get scaled.

5
Ongoing

Measure and Report

POS integrated dashboards show revenue lift, new customers, and item level insights. Per location, per campaign. Corporate sees everything in one place.

Is This a Fit?

This is built for restaurant brands that are scaling

The LRAP works best for brands with 10 or more locations (or plans to get there soon) that need marketing to operate at the same level of precision as the rest of their business. If any of these sound familiar, we should talk.

You're opening new locations

And you need a repeatable playbook that activates new markets fast, builds local awareness from day one, and drives customers through the door before word of mouth kicks in.

Your locations perform unevenly

Some stores are thriving and some are lagging. You need location level visibility to understand what's driving the difference and invest accordingly.

You can't prove marketing ROI

Your current agency gives you impressions and clicks. Your CFO wants to see revenue lift. You need attribution that ties ad spend to actual transactions.

You want to conquest competitors

There are competitor locations near every one of your stores. You want to systematically capture their customers and redirect them to your brand.
